Oslo, Lisa Ullmann Scholarship and new collaborations

Getting to work with Birgit Nordby, one of the very few actors to whom Catherine Clouzot passed on her body of work, has been a plan in the making of a number of years. We first spoke about it in 2019. This June, we finally did it! The combination of her residency at SoriaLab, a space for artists to collaborate on new work, and my scholarship from the Lisa Ullmann Travelling Scholarship Fund, gave us the green light to make a week long R&D happen. We covered a lot of ground. We did our live research at the Bearpark at Fla , and our studio (on the floor practice based )research , exploring the similarities and differences in our work in animal. This studio work took place both at SoriaLab as well as at Kristiania. Added to this we had a third collaborator in the room, writer Nelly Winterhalder. The week together marks the start of an exciting new collaboration which will both document this specific approach to transformation as well as doing the groundwork towards developing a new show.
